2 independent PROFIBUS DP slave channels
The module provides 2 independent PROFIBUS DP slave channels due to IEC 61158. Each channel has its own controller (type SPC3), which handles the protocol. The maximum transfer rate is 12 MBaud. The baudrate is detected automatically.

Universal slave
With this module any X-Bus carrier card (e.g. MAX5dip) can become a PROFIBUS slave. Other MAX modules stacked onto this card can be used for external I/O connection.
